A country pub that serves gourmet food in traditional suroundings. Not only was the food superb (we had slow cooked belly pork with CRACKLING) with everything cooked to perfection, the staff were delightful, very attentive without being overbearing.
The menu was such that choosing was not easy - every item was appealing. There was a good range of beers, a super wine list including cocktails and desert wines.
Although not cheap, the bill was much lower than expected and was excellent value for money.
Although it was quite a long journey for us, we will definitely visit again and we very pleased to recommend the White Hart.
Popped in for lunch today for the first time in 30 years when we lived locally and could go more often! Food and welcome from staff was excellent and the Virgin Bloody Mary was delicious.!! One of the best I have had the. The meze platter & fish platter were superb.
Fantastic service, the food was delicious (scampi & chips and steak) with a lovely beetroot salmon starter ... we would highly recommend
