Geee's coffee is a great Café option right in the heart of Formby village. Independently operated, you'll find great Café style breakfast and lunch food and a range of drinks. There's also a good amount of indoor (including some booths) and outdoor seating options.
The food is really tasty. It's definitely caked in butter and other unhealthy stuff, but it tastes far more like a gourmet breakfast than a greasy Café. It's also reasonably priced for the local area.
The coffee unfortunately isn't great. The espresso itself tastes good, but the milk is pretty awful, and latte art has no place here. Stroll through the interior and you'll hear the sound of a screeching steam wand as milk gets burnt, so I think with a bit of training they could really sort this part out, but given the place has coffee in the title it's not great. Hot drinks are also served in an odd mishmash of mugs, which again isn't great (see photos).
Staff are always friendly, there are highchairs available, and there's (very hard to get) parking right outside as well as throughout and around the village.
If you go wanting a Cafe breakfast, you'll be really pleased. If you go wanting a gourmet breakfast or a good coffee, not so much.
Good choice of meals on the menu, and friendly staff serving. I ordered grilled halloumi flatbread and salad, it was so tasty and such a generous portion too. We ordered carrot cake and coffee & walnut cake for afterwards and this was delicious too, I assume it was home made. Reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere inside the cafe. Would definitely return.
Food was excellent. Staff were very polite and respectful. Would definitely go back. Recommended for a visit.
