Just had to go & try the new gluten free menu. Fabulous fish & chips!! V fresh fish in a really crispy batter with chunky chips, crispy on the outside & fluffy inside. I'll be back to try the pitta & steak next time....or maybe the salmon.... Staff lovely & helpful. Keep up the good work guys!

Am up from Birmingham and spent a fantastic afternoon with my cousin in this great pub. Enjoyed a beautiful Black Salmon dinner and a few (ahem) ales. The 'Due South' from the Strathbraan Brewery is particularly nice. The Stag is a warm, friendly pub with sociable staff and regulars. I highly recommend it for food, ale and atmosphere.

Enjoyed an afternoon tea on Saturday 17th March, we were made to feel very welcome & food was very nice. Ideal pricing (first time had seen this) as some of guests didn't drink prosecco so liked the fact that there was option not to have. Would highly recommend
