Loved the new vegan menu. Salad was really tasty. The tart was delicious and just had the tart at home for dessert. Irish waiter was lovely too. Well done for being one of the first for a vegan menu at a pub,my friend recently ate off the menu and really enjoyed it too. #veganmenuisawinner

My boyfriend is local but I've been coming to The Oatsheaf with him for a year now. Despite it being busy on weekends (as expected because weekend - Friday & Saturday) we always get served in a pretty timely manor. The bar staff are so friendly & lovely. I've even had bar staff go out of their way to help out & make our stay enjoyable even though it always is.
It's hard work in the pub trade & considering all that, we always get great service.
Had a burger outside about a month ago. Wagu burger is amazing.
Had a 3 course meal tonight & was absolutely content! They actually serve & know how to make arancini! The duck salad is a beautiful balance of flavours & has a lot of duck in it. Their sweet potato chips are seasoned brilliantly! My other half had the rib eye steak. I had a taste. Has so much flavour. The seasoning is just perfect.
We had a lovely dinner. Lighting & ambiance was lovely (I might point out Friday night & busy but didn't effect a thing). Our waitress was lovely, always checked on us. Also had a nice gentleman serve us too. Again, the staff are lovely & hospitable. Relaxing & just a nice chilled evening enjoying great food & drink.
We always drink here, all the time, but we will be eating here EVEN MORE INDEFINITELY! Thank you to all the staff who serve us our drinks & the chefs who make the wonderful food.

Place has a welcoming atmosphere, lots of parking. Excellent friendly service, decent variation of options on the menu, quick at ordering even when fairly busy. The food was really good. Would go back 100%
