The waiting staff seemed genuinely happy to be working here, which added to the already positive vibes coming from the other customers. The roast chicken portion was huge! It's so nice not to feel short-changed. The roast potatoes were excellent, but the huge Yorkshire pudding won the prize for best item on our plates! 😋.

Had such a great lunch here today with family. The lamb shanks were enormous & so well cooked. I'm quite a fussy vegetarian and it was the best veggie roast I've had in ages. Friendly service & beautiful location. It's also very accessible, which was ideal for my grandfather in a wheelchair. Thank you

Such a beautiful place. Right by the lake beautiful set up to meet up friends and a have a glass of wine or two or to go for a meal as a family. Chili Prawn as a starter was the star of the show for me, it was so scrumptious I’d go to that place just to eat that. Crab linguine was tasty but a little on the dry side (hence the 4star) but it was still tasty everyone else on the table was happy with their food. So the view, the food, the staff all very good. I’ll definitely go back. highly recommended.

We loved our visit on Thursday after walking around fleet pond. Very accommodating as we had two dogs with us. Food was so good and the service was brilliant. Special thanks to our server Claire, she was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Such a lovely place for a relaxing bite to eat and drink. Will be back

Good food, inexpensive price, great location. The service is the main stand-out: as a celiac I'm pretty annoying for most restaurants to accommodate, but these guys had extensive gluten-free options and our waitress was meticulous in both her recommendation of which items were suitable for our dietary requirements, and also in her diligence of ensuring that the correct items (our party ordered one gluten-free and one regular item which looked identical) were brought to the correct person, even going as far as taking it back to the kitchen to double-check with the chef. Literally the best service and attention you'll get outside of a Michelin-starred establishment. Would absolutely come back.

Beautiful place, amazing food, nice staff, well intentioned but they could be better trained. They lacked experience and missed items in the order even when they were reminded. I give the 5 star because the food was exceptional, lots of diversity even for vegan and vegetarian dinners, and the place by the lake is idyllic. I hope they take into consideration my comment about the staff being more professional.
