Ferndown Fish and Chips - 528 Wimborne Road East. Under new management. Fantastic jumbo (and they are huge) tempura king prawns with homemade mango, chilli & lime salsa. Chips were great. My friends cod was huge and the fish/batter was perfect. Highly recommend. The new owner is a trained chef and he was happy to chat while cooking all of our food fresh on the spot. They are introducing a delivery service too. We will be back!

Ordered gluten free cod and chips (wife coeliac) and normal cod and chips with pickled eggs, mushy peas etc. Owner said he would need half an hour as he'd have to drain the oil down to do GF. Anyone that deals with being a coeliac will understand that that statement is like music to their ears. It tells you that they know what being gluten intolerant is and also that they do take it seriously. Food was excellent, huge portions even I couldn't eat it all and I eat like a hippo, friendly staff. Not expensive and ready slightly before they said. All in all great chippy.

The fish & chips were top notch. Lovely golden batter. Price wise it's in the middle, not bargain basement, but still good value for money.
