arrived 1:35pm on wednesday, after hiking . the lunch special £10 for a drink and small meal is worth to consider if you are not hungry, the berry and apple crumbles with custard was tasty and in good portion size. custard was come in a small jug. The kind waiter gave one more custard jug when we asked more. the belly pork bites were tender and delicious but they were salty due to soy sauce added. my recommendation for the belly pork bites is no added soy sauce. the small fish and chips was good.

Excellent Sunday roast - duo of beef and chicken. The latter was especially good: crispy and tender thighs. All veg cooked to perfection. Staff a delight, didn't bat an eye when asked for kids portion for the elderly parents (both with health issues, didn't need to state that though). Even the coffee was good.

I came with a small group of friends following a walk around the area on Monday evening. The pub was quiet but that doesn't bother me. We had a chat with the bar maid while she pulled our pints. There was a reasonable selection of beers available, more than enough to keep us all happy. I had a pint of Landlord as a bitter is my preference.
The decorations on the walls were really interesting, a big talking point for a lot of the evening.
Bar snacks are great, loved the pork scratchings.
