Update on 7.5.2023 this restaurant is now permanently closed. Well what an amazing little restaurant. This table was booked for us by a friend who lives in Falmouth as a treat. On arrival it was very busy but the staff were very attentive and seated us quickly.
We ordered drinks and starters which arrived promptly with some prawn crackers, these were the best crackers I think I've ever had anywhere! We chose to try 3 dishes from the tapas section . The satay was amazing as were the corn fritters! The mains were great too. Really tasty without being over the top with heat. If you like things spicy just tell the servers and they will ask the chefs to ramp it up a bit for you.
We had a portion of pineapple fritters to finish which is served with Assam ice cream.....oh my how good was that?!
I'm very impressed with this restaurant. Thai food cooked with love (by Thai chefs) attentive and chatty staff (Lucas) who always made time for us even though it was super busy. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you all for our authentic Thai experience.
***currently has 2 new puddings for Halloween. Salted caramel ice cream with toffee apple topping and a Baked pumpkin Creme brulee. I tried both and they're very good indeed.
Overall, fantastic experience and well worth the money (which we felt didn't seem that expensive).
DISCLAIMER: would be 5 star, but there was very little (3 small pieces to be exact) of pork in my red curry.
Imagine a bamboo restaurant next to a tropical rainforest...but set in Falmouth. The most immersive interior of a restaurant I've come across.
My husband ordered the sea bass which was hands down the tastiest he's ever had. I'm not a fan of fish, but even I loved it. We both have never seen something like this before.
I had a red Thai curry, which had the perfect amount of heat to it and tasted brilliant. We shared coconut rice, which was more than what we could eat. And we eat a lot!!!
The toilets are gendered with blue for male and pink for female. Slightly outdated in this day and age - plenty of space though!
I feel bad that I've been recommending people not to go here. We visited after lockdown and it was pretty poor; food was of a quality I'd expect from Wetherspoon's, and they didn't even have any tofu.
However, a friend told us they had a new chef and that we should give them another go... so we did. And it was a massive improvement! Really tasty food, plenty of vegan options, and super friendly staff.
The only issue I had was that the mushroom dumplings were pretty disappointing - just dry pastry with mushrooms inside - and pricy for what they were. Everything else was really good and felt like guys value for money.
