Great vibes, great food, great beer and great staff. What isn't there to like about it!
The crab loaded chips are incredible. The chips alone are fantastic, but add good crab and bursts of piquancy from fried capers and they are elevated to a sublime level. Everything we chose from the small plates menu was good. The fish pie special was a master class in comfort food and perfectly sized for 2 to share.
Great little bar and restaurant. Loads of delicious Verdant beers and the food overall is really great.
Service is always friendly and helpful.
I like to come back here every time I come to Falmouth be it for a beer and a small snack or some beers and dinner!
Don’t arrive after 21:30 of you’re looking for food. Even if their website says they serve food until 22:00, they cut orders at 21:30. So we just stayed for beers (Verdant is one of the best UK breweries, famous for their hop-forward hazy beers) on our first visit.
Got back the next day to try the food. It’s a small plate menu, which my wife and I really enjoy. 3 dishes per person suggested. Go for the daily specials. The only disappointment was the salad, which had a few leaves, some radishes, and a vinaigrette, which was tasty but not what you’d expect in a restaurant, in my opinion. The tortilla used for the tacos could be better, but that’s just a Mexican’s burden, so do try the fish tacos.
