Hot-dikity (?) burger was very tasty and filling! The ambience and clientele (that I saw) was young and chatty which was enjoyable.
When you arrive, ur shown to a table and when uv chosen from a menu you order (and pay for) ur food and drink at that point.
Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend it.
The place is nice, the food is tasty, however the atmosphere is not the best. I was there only once and cannot say if it is always that way, but it was hard to concentrate and chill when on the left side I heard calm quiet music, whilst to the left pop music was blasting from the kitchen. I understand that the chefs want to listen to music as well, but when you have an open kitchen you should think of the customers as well as yourself. The burgers come on their own, you have to pay extra 3-4 pounds for any sides. My burger, fries and a coke added up to 15 quid.
As usual, GBK delivered a high standard of burger at the Exeter branch. Never disappointed when I visit Gourmet Burger Kitchen. The Peanut Butter Milkshakes are particularly awesome!
