Quite simply, an excellent vegan breakfast! This was our first visit to The Mere Cafe and certainly will not be the last. Breakfast was one of the best vegan cooked breakfast’s that we have had. Great taste / flavour and came out in food time too. Looking forward to coming back to try the cakes too.

If you're in Ellesmere don't walk past this place - walk in. If you have refill bottles this is the place to save plastic and the food is delicious whether you are vegan or not. The staff are delightful. There are books and wool and fascinating items for sale and it's dog friendly too. Handy for the Mere and they do picnic takeaways!

If you can only visit one cafe/restaurant - choose this one. Very delicious vegan food, cakes and drinks. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are low for the quality and quantity you get.
