We celebrated a 16 birthday at the Red Lion with a meal this evening, the food was beautifully cooked excellent produce and extremely tasty. I had the loaded potato skins for starter and were the best I've ever eaten, they were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside with grilled cheese and pineapple on top. Main coarse was Woodland chicken with chunky fries, the chicken was very tasty and moist with grilled mushrooms and cheese on top. Excellent. The staff very friendly and helpfull and a great atmosphere. Most enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Just had an early evening meal for 7. Kids well catered for and mains were fab. I always complain that people will not serve a proper medium-rare steak; we had exactly that. Brilliant service and good beer. Very pleased.
