I brought my mother and father in law, my mother, and my grandmother here for afternoon tea on 23rd December. We had a wheelchair user within our group, and were shown by a member of staff to the accessible entrance, and then given a beautiful table right by a roaring log fire. From the very beginning the staff could not do enough for us, they were incredibly helpful and attentive all throughout our visit. Our waiter Miguel was fantastic. He explained all of the different menu options to us, and once we had chosen our drinks everything was brought out quickly. We were offered more sandwiches, which we of course accepted! I would highly recommend the basil bread with cucumber and cream cheese filling. Once we had eaten huge amounts of sandwiches, out came the cakes. Glorious cakes, so much variety, and all baked to perfection. We left extremely full, but very happy. I would highly recommend this place for a very classy afternoon tea in a gorgeous location steeped in history.
I would also like to say a big thankyou to the staff at Great Fosters for being so accommodating to my mother in law, who is in a wheelchair. It's so appreciated to go somewhere that not only has disabled access, but also a place that has staff who are more than willing to assist wherever possible. I took my best friend for afternoon tea yesterday afternoon, and it was simply amazing. We sat outside by the moat, sun was shining and the atmosphere was really good. My friend enjoyed her first afternoon tea and I'm sure it won't be our last. I can't recommend great fosters enough. Only one negative point that wasn't in any way great fosters fault is I'm now looking like a half cooked lobster from being sat half in the sun � #FabService #GreatFosters #AfternoonTea #PimmsInTheSun #Besties

We are huge fans of Great Fosters, having been 3 times this year. We came for a special meal for my boyfriend's 30th birthday and can honestly say it was the best service we have ever received. We were so impressed by the friendly staff and attention to detail. A particular thank you to the wonderful restaurant manager, who had us in stitches. We felt very relaxed and the food was exceptionally tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to all. We also came for an afternoon tea a few weeks ago and both agreed it was the best afternoon tea we have ever had. We love Great Fosters so much we are even considering it for our upcoming wedding, and thus far Lisa from the events team has been extremely helpful and efficient. We look forward to returning shortly!
