I was here back in late July. One of my favorite places we ate while in Edinburgh. You can definitely tell that this is authentic Italian and that every bite is made with love!
We had pan fried sea bream that came with peppers and olives, assorted vegetables, cucumber tomato salad, and the paccheri with guanciale. The fish was cooked to absolute perfection, but the paccheri was the star of the show! You can tell that the pasta is handmade. The guanciale is from a great source. Also not over cooked. Still has the crunch, but a little bit of fat where it isn't completely rendered off, but used in the base of the sauce.
As for the vegetables, nothing special about them, but loved that they are locally sourced. Everything was incredibly fresh and not drenched in dressing. I feel that can be difficult to find while traveling.
Overall this is a restaurant I would recommend to anyone in Edinburgh. Very quaint, cozy atmosphere along with a killer wine selection.
Thank you Terra Marique!
Excellent food and service. Would give it a 5 star if they had an extra few more selection of food as they had limited quantity for a type of dish and can be a pain if you come in a large group and want to order the same thing
Love love love the food. We came in for an early dinner to beat the crowd. Owner is supper nice. Cuisine covers the entire Italian region. We had the seafood soup of the day, pasta and two seafood main course. The owner also brought us some homemade bread which was so delicious. Highly recommended!
