Most impressed I've ever been by the University of Edinburgh generally ~ travelling a lot, more than most, my image of Britain was, maybe still is ~ Scotland - sore head when I drink their beers - England & Wales ~ no sore head when I drink their beers. None of The Library Bar's beers gave me a sore head these past few weeks of a multitude of festivals in Edinburgh ~ whether alumni doing brewing degrees uni is possibly to do with that, it makes me wonder, sore heads tell you they aren't cleaning the vats out well enough, & Welsh & English brewers are doing this more assiduously & consistently than Scottish brewers + I mean that is my image of all of the Scots brewers including Orkney ~ bangin' them out for tourists, losing quality. Food definitely worth it, think they're using sea salt in things & my brain noticed the difference. A good health awareness, basically, making an effort to be healthy within a limited budget. The uni shows seemed to be better than ever, Bedlam etc., altogether the Edinburgh Festival is finishing with a very good image of uni stuff in my mind.
Amazing atmosphere and great buzz!! Menu choices ace and a bit of reggae music with the football!!! Boom
Can't go wrong with bar food. The environment and the servers/bartenders were where it was at. Loved sitting in an old style pub/library for a pint, a vegan burger and a chat. The vegan nachos were very good. Cheap and cheerful too! Relaxing at its best.
