Dined at Wedgwood last night while we were in Edinburgh. Was our first time at the restaurant and had the tasting menu. From start to finish it was a brilliant experience both in terms of the food and the service. Sticky toffee pudding was just superb and a great end to the meal. Would definetly recommend to anyone who wants good food. Have been to a few Michelin starred restaurants and for me, it's up there with them.
The food was exquisite. I had the pork belly and it was perfect, tender, just enough fat to help with moistness and the vegetables were just the right match. Dad had the venison which he said was melt in the mouth tender. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was superb. The servings were just the right size, filling but not too much. The serving staff were fantastic, I had a gin & tonic and wanted to try something a little different, so our waitress asked what kind of flavour I was after and made a great recommendation. I couldn't praise Wedgwood more highly. The value is also spot on, it was about £80 for us both for two courses and a drink which I think is excellent for fine dining and food and service that was top notch. Just make sure to make a reservation if you want to make sure to get a table in the evening.
We’ve been here a few times over the years and tonight was exceptional. All 3 courses and the wine were spot on. Empty plates doesn’t go far enough.
Special mention to Jazz and her team who provided first class and personable service.
A restaurant you wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
