This place isn't just about their signature super hot curry. It's got a lot more to offer than that. The service is excellent...welcoming, energetic and knowledgeable. We ate in the restaurant as opposed to the buffet next door. The dishes and sides we ordered were all faultless, a real treat. The lamb biryani was rich and fragrant with plenty of tender lamb, with a choice of mild/med/hot curry sauce to go with it.
The portions are generous so there will be leftovers. The staff were happy to bag up what was left for us to take away.
The best surprise was left 'till the end when the bill came. Very reasonably priced and because it's BYOB with no corkage, you don't spend an arm and a leg on beer (plenty of supermarkets close by with beers in the fridge section).
So all in all, a real find. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Edinburgh.
I had an opportunity to eat at this restaurant at a recommendation from a person. The gentleman who seated us and served us, was full of energy and was truly genuine in making sure we enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. He is also part of the ownership, which made it very personal.
This is a new restaurant, and are are just getting off the ground. Food was very pleasing and tasty. Restaurant was clean, but could use a little touch of color and pictures to enhance the restaurant's atmosphere.
I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Good Indian food with decent service. We trietd the balti chicken (great), the lamb Naga (the menu says 50% hot compare to their "killer" but it was too much for my taste), so I ordered jalfreezi which was spicy and great. They were nice to charge me only half the cost of the Naga.
