Had lamb karahi and a chicken stir-fry with rice to go. The food was expédient, the manager was friendly, and it was all very tasty. And very hot!

Ordered several vegetarian dishes (saag paneer, vegetable karahi, tarka dal), naan and rice and they were all great. Each dish had a distinct flavour, unlike some Indian restaurants where everything looks and tastes the same. The veg karahi had plenty of green chillies and was delightfully spicy. The dhal was smoky and flavourful. The saag paneer was creamy, a bit sweet, and you could actually taste the spinach. The portions were large (incl. the naan), so we're looking forward to leftovers. The average rating on Google reviews severely undersells this place!

Just moved nearby and tried Ruchi for the first time. Tandoori lamb chop freshly cooked and really tasty. Saag aloo has loads of flavour and another higeportion. And rice is rice!

Great service, food really tasty and they delivered exactly what we asked for including extra chilis! Spice level just right and stand out flavours on all dishes. Thank you, so glad we moved close by, we will see you soon! :)

Over many years I've ordered so many different dishes,..... Anybody who gives this takeaway taste sensation any less than five stars... Is bitter maybe because there was a delay... Most likely traffic

i have ordered here so many times since 2019 that the staff members seem to sometimes recognise me - the food is delicious, portions generous, prepared quickly. i wouldn't order takeout anywhere else in edinburgh because ruchi's is always consistent. ONCE (out of many times) they missed out one of the curries (we ordered for 6), and when they sent the order again they included free vegetable pakoras. cannot say a bad word about this place, amazing stuff!! :)
