I've been a here few times. I remember it before it became a Waldorf Astoria! The decor is a lot nicer and it has very classical modern twist to the theme. I love the 1950s portraits on the wall with spotlight just on top of the portrait which emphasises the picture.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Sam the Bar Manager was by himself and was slightly busy but handled the situation like professional, well done!!
I'm lucky enough to be a diamond member as hilton honors, due to my travelling around a lot. The hiltons usually give me couple vouchers for free drinks at the bar which is nice.
I had a lot free time before catching a flight back to London, so I thought I'd have a working lunch.
I opted for the rainbow trout with pine nuts and capers and a side of crushed potatoes! It was beautiful dish, presented well, tasted great. It's not for people who don't like bones! They staff checked up on how I was getting on and been very attentive throughout.
Overall great place for meetings or social gathering. I would highly recommend this place. Average price per person is £25-£30.
Huge range of whisky as well if you are a whisky fan!
A lovely spot in just the right place, where you can enjoy all kinds of drinks: a wide selection of whisky and rum, great original cocktails, classics and also own mixes. Highly recommend, whether for couples, solo, or with a group of friends - I had an amazing time, the staff is also really nice and chatty, so you know they care about your comfort.
Charles, Ellis, and Ellie will absolutely take care of you here. Expert cocktails crafted in the most artful way possible. This isn’t your normal 5 star hotel bar or even your normal high end cocktail lounge, it’s something above that. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or simply passing through you will be welcomed in the most professional way and will absolutely have a fantastic time.
