I was visiting Edinburgh and came here on a recommendation of a friend. At this point, I had been in England for almost a week and was done with pub food. Loved this tapas place! Since it was just me, I had 3 tapas: the eggplant, the mussels, and the chicken skewers + the creme brulee for dessert. Everything was delicious!
Since I was a solo diner, they seated me in a corner which I appreciated since I had a nice nighttime view of the castle plus I could do some people watching without being obvious about it. The atmosphere and decorations in the restaurant were pretty nice as well. It was very reasonably priced as well.
If you want to try something different, definitely recommend Cafe Andaluz.
Nice little tapas restaurant just off of the Royal Mile. An intimate setting with plenty of choices for lite bites and small plates. Freshly made Paella is offered, just allow 25 minutes. Food was good and it was nice change from all the pub food. If you like lamb, the Tajine was out if this world.
