I can not say enough of this tiny cafe. Fresh, clean ingredients, mostly home made, and other ingredients are fresh made makes for food that anyone would enjoy. This is truly a jem that is hidden in the city of Edinburgh. I am so glad that we went for a stroll down this street and ended up going into this cafe. If you happen to be travelling or a local in Edinburgh, do yourself a favor and check out this tiny but nice cafe.
We had sandwiches with fresh bread and tried her homemade mushroom soup. Very Tasty! Oh, and they have pastries and cake too, just in case you want some dessert. I had cappuccino too and my wife the Elderflower sparkling water and she loved it.
Delicious, home cooked food. Also, great variety on the menu so all the family has plenty to choose from. A lovely little place for a quick bite to eat. Excellent value too. Chicken curry bowl at £4 was delicious.
Owner Susan is super friendly. Her food is always prepared fresh and she comes up with delicious recipes all the time. I love the sweets/cakes selection!!
The place itself is tiny but super cozy.
I go there every time I'm nearby as she's only one in neighbourhood that accepts card payments.
Be prepared that she sometimes closes earlier!
