1st visit in almost 20 years. Bar hasn't changed much, but still has good selection of beers, as memory serves me. New additions though is individual tvs in booths, where customers can eat/drink. Food, of good quality and very reasonable (£13 for cheeseburger, chops and onion rings; given location so close to Princess Street.
Could get quietly drunk and fed, while watching your favourite sport. Beer is reasonably priced (£1.30 less than a very similar pub 100 yards away!) for City Centre. Served in main (bar/food) by James, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Good experience👍
The place is photogenic and has very viby music their beer collection is really good, but the whisky isn't as better. People at the bar were so friendly and approachable attitude. Made me easy to choice the drink.
Entirely my visit was good. Haven't tried the food yet. Next time will definitely turn up for food.
My four stars are probably a matter of preference but the staff are great. There was a mixup and we didn't get service quickly but it happens. I bet it doesn't happen when needed properly. It wasn't my choice to go here but my mum's. The chips, my daughter enjoyed very much. The drinks look delicious.
