A small restaurant with alot of tasty dishes. They have a variety of choices which made eating there even better. The food was delicious and the price was right.
Not sure why this place has such a low rating. I found the food to be quite good. I had the bulgogi bokum bap and the dak bulgogi with a side of kimchi. Both dishes were well spiced and cooked, although a bit sweeter than is traditional. The kimchi is made fresh in house and I usually prefer a kimchi that has aged a bit more. I lived in Seoul for a few months and really loved the atmosphere they had going in the shop.
Would definitely come back.
Buccleuch Street has developed into the place to go for Korean food, with three exponents (Kim's, Cafe Andamiro and Sodaeng) all located on the street. Kim's still wins for character and wow factor, but Sodaeng is doing good work. It seems a busy wee place, so it's definitely one to add to your list for a visit.
To conclude, we said: "I was very impressed with Sodaeng. Both dishes I tried were extremely tasty. I’d be happy to visit again and will bring a group next time as there were some intriguing looking sharing dishes. I’d be happy to recommend that you give the place a visit."
