It is a very cozy place, with a beautiful history behind it. My boyfriend and I had the famous pies of the place. I had the Fish pie, and my boyfriend had one with Haggis, like a classic meat pie. Both were good, but nothing spectacular. My boyfriend had a beer, and it was really good. The staff was very kind :)
Greyfriars Bobby's Bar is a standout! Tried the salmon fish balls and steak pie, plus haggis, neeps, and tatties. Haggis was the highlight – delicious and savory.
Quick service, nice atmosphere.
No need to book ahead; walked in on a busy weekend during the Fringe Fest and had a great meal.
Honestly one of the best pub meals ever!
We were lucky to get a seat without booking, on an impromptu decision. Not so the folks trying just after us. It’s popular!
I had the sausage and mash. Husband had the wild boar pie.
Service was top class despite it being a Friday night and they were rushed off their feet.
