Lovely little cafe right near the Water of Leith pathway. One of my favourite coffee spots in Edinburgh. An excellent selection of breakfast items with high nutritional value. Relaxing spot away from the main dining areas of Leith.
We were staying in Leith for the Fringe so decided to take a little walk and give this place a go for brunch. It's not really near any other cafes or restaurants, so I was a little sceptical, but it was a very pleasant surprise. Everything on the brunch menu looked delicious and I wanted to order everything. They had milk alternatives, which is great as not everywhere does, and made me a delicious coconut latte. Me and my friend both had the Scotch pancakes which came with lemon curd, raspberry coulis, the sweetest raspberries I've ever tasted, oats, shards of whisky honey and Crowdie cheese. They were sensational. A perfect, filling portion and one of the best flavour combinations in a dish I've ever tasted. Both of us tried the Crowdie cheese and didn't really like it so left it, but I can see why it was on the plate and am sure it will be to some people's taste - anyway, if you don't like it it's just one blob on the top so, easily removed. Staff were attentive but not fussy and very nice. Totally recommend this spot.
Went there because of the good reviews & were not disappointed. Enjoyed the home made juice & the lemon pancakes a lot
