Returned to one of our favourite restaurants for lunch one day last week. Due to the current coronavirus restrictions they only have a small amount of tables available and while we were having our lunch they had to turn a number of people away so my advice is definitely book ahead!! The reason it is so popular is because the food is spectacular. We had a quick two courses. I had homemade fish cakes which were very special. They came with a light herby sauce and a side salad. My wife had pea and mint soup with a sprinkling of feta cheese and crusty bread. She loved it! For the main course I had wild mushroom papadelle with trufle oil and my wife had fish pie. The size of the prawns and fish were great, beautiful seafood. Both main courses were delicious and presented beautifully. As all of our previous visits have been this was a fantastic eating experience in a wonderfuly cosy setting. Staff are always super friendly and you can even get a brownie or piece of cake to take home. I woukd strongly recommend Three veg to anyone. Enjoy!
Absolutely beautiful use of veggies. Love it when greens are the star of the show. Dish pictured is the goats cheese and peach salad, very good, portion size was good if you are having starters (mostly tasty nibbles) and desert. Desert was lovely, banoffee and crem caramel are both very good, biscuit a little dense in the banoffee.
Also a little expensive for veg, but very good and overall worth it.
We had a lovely meal at Samphire English Kitchen. The hostess was brilliant and made us feel at home. The decor was perfect seaside rustic without being tacky. The food was fantastic, really better than we expected and beautifully fresh. They even made alterations to the dishes for us at no extra cost and couldn’t have been kinder about it. I highly recommend going for a long slow meal with a group of friends to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the friendly vibes from the staff and customers!
