We arrived today with a very tired, very hot hangry child (he’s only one!). With no other form of expression to tell us how he was feelin, he screamed & he cried. After 10mins of patiently standing in what seemed a mile long queue with said sweaty hangry child, I walked to take him outside until his daddy had got to the door, to rejoin the queue with him. One member of staff was an absolute diamond. Realising said child was in a state, she asked if he was hungry. Off she went An got a Yorkshire pudding & some strawberries.. We couldn’t of thanked her enough! 25mins of queuing was made a whole lot easier. Food was definitely worth the wait. All meat was tasty & melted in the mouth. Roast pots & veg were well cooked too. We would definitely return to this carvery and recommend to others. (Jus not with a tired hot hangry child Better planning required lol)
The food and service at Brent House is better than excellent....if there is a word for that! The only problem I have is that when visiting on sundays there is such a long queue- the last time we called a couple of Sundays ago we were in a queue that weaved in and out of the restaurant and bar area for almost an hour before we were able to collect our lunch...if we hadn't been so hungry it would have been amusing- my friend described it as a "slow motion Conga!" Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the meal, as always, and it's well worth the 35 minute drive from Street.(The pork crackling is the best I've ever tasted...really!) Keep up the good work, and hopefully you can solve the Sunday queuing problem. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Best regards and thanks to you all.
What can I say best place for Carvery around everything was brilliant puddings to die for the best book if you're going down at the weekend five star all the way
