Was recommended by a local to try this place, and we were definitely not disappointed. First thing is that it was really busy, which is always a good sign - if the locals like this place they must be doing something right. The restaurant itself was nicely done up, and clean, although I felt it could do with just a tad more lighting inside. The menu was pretty extensive, and after a very short wait, we ordered a dhal, mixed tandoori grill, and a kebab afghani curry with naans and parathas. Suffice to say the meal was excellent, with just the right amount of spice, piping hot, and served without an inordinate amount of delay.
The service was excellent, and I mean really excellent with the waiters always making sure we were OK, and even the owner popping over to say hello to some out of towners, and even giving us some guidance on the locality.
Prices were reasonable, and plenty of off-road parking also available. All in all, highly recommended and would go again if in that neck of the woods.
Hands down some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Staff is incredibly friendly. Several unique dishes I haven't seen elsewhere. Good selection of wine at reasonable prices as well. Atmosphere is above average as well. Definitely not just your typical curry shop!
Any day of the week this is a great place, eat in or take away. Really friendly staff and clearly lots of return customers. Clean and well presented tables and the food is always tasty. Would totally recommend.
