This place is absolutely wonderful. It’s down to earth and unpretentious, classic Italian food. I find that Italian restaurants often overcompensate by adding lots of ingredients and giving you massive portions, but Ciao Sorrento was nothing like that. The food was absolutely stunning, and was basic but delicious, with portions that were reasonable. They also did a litre of house wine for just under £20, which was really good. The garlic bread with mozzarella was also fantastic. I found the coffees to be very nice, and the tiramisu was delicious as well. With the receipt they also gave us a small Italian biscuit, which was a nice touch. The waiter was very friendly, and the whole place has a family feel. They even managed to get us in 45 minutes before our reservation, which was really good. It’s small inside, but it didn’t feel crowded. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, it made for a truly fantastic night!
First visit in a long time. Friendly welcome from staff, had booked our table, but a couple of walk ins during our visit, but booking advisable. Ordered calamari fritti and deep fried breadcrumbed mushrooms with mozzarella to share, starters were tasty and freshly made. Carafe of white wine in a luvly jug. Mains, Penne Bersagllera and Pasta Al Ferne (house speciality) first time having the house speciality as I always have their Lasagne , but so glad I went for a change, it was Delicious so tasty and full of flavour will definitely have again, also shared garlic bread, sorry no photos too busy enjoying our mains, finished off with an Irish coffee and a cappuccino. This is a great family run, quant wee restaurant, great atmosphere and food, All the staff were luvly, chatty and friendly, all under the watchful eye of the luvly owner Tommaso , won't be so long again till our next visit. Thank you all for a very enjoyable visit. :) :)
Extremely brilliant service and food!!! I think it's a very authentic Italian flavour. 😋
