There weren't many reviews for this place and I have to admit that I'm not known for writing reviews but for this place I will make an exception.
I wouldn't normally go for a carvery, it just happened to be near the hotel we were staying in for a trade show. I took one colleague and three customers who are also more used to fine dining than carvery's.
We all agreed that the quality of the meat was absolutely superb, the only issue we had was the chef/owner gave us all more than we asked for.
This is the best Carvery for miles. The quality of the meat is excellent, the sides are always cooked from scratch, the veg is good too but it's far too easy to over indulge. The only thing that let's the restaurant down slightly is the older style décor bit that's just personal taste. They run two sittings on a Sunday so if you like to longer over lunch my advice is to for the second sitting.
This is without doubt, the best carvery I have ever been to. May appear a bit more expensive than others, however for the price (15-20 quid), you get a choice of starter, pudding and carvery. There are also vege options. The staff are very friendly and attentive and encourage diners to over indulge and go back for seconds. If you live in the area and enjoy a carvery, you MUST come here.
