A place of new promise for me - and I wasn't disappointed.
We arrived fifteen minutes after opening, and this clean, inviting restaurant was already more than two-thirds full, the staff being friendly and not overly attentive.
A Hot Calzone and a Vegetarian Risotto were selected from the clear, no fuss, menu and arrived about fifteen minutes from ordering. Specials were also available and will be sampled at the next visit.
From what I could see, everything was prepped fresh to order, the Head Chef, Francesco, Second Chef and their assistant working efficiently together to produce an absolutely superb 'Hot Calzone' stuffed with various fillings with a soft crust, and an equally superb Vegetarian Risotto (a dish which can be indifferent if not watched closely during cooking).
We found that the attention to detail was first-rate, and even the tomato and rocket garnish on the plates was worthy of praise.
At under twenty pounds for two, more than average-sized, main courses, and with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, and would advise that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Went for a meal with the wife and had pasta and a calzone and garlic bread and desert and 4 cokes. Came to £33.30 excellent food and cheap too. Had a guy serve us called Tom down at bottom bar and was really good came down to our level to take order which I thought was nice never has that before and we had another guy too think he was called Jason and he was quite rude and cocky. Think he needs to go on bar and Tom needs to be a waiter excellent service and will be going again
Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work. Fantastic venue for my 50th it was perfect. Best venue on the island for having a party highly recommend and you guys couldn’t do enough for us �
