We visited Mozza last night for a family birthday (note the cakeage fee) an Italian restaurant with an appealing atmosphere. My husband and I shared the margherita Versace pizza which was yummy though I would have liked to have seen even more tomato sugo on there.
Note this menu is not current we had the bruschetta and parmesan chips as entree dishes which were enjoyable though the bruschetta was on a pizza base which I don’t think works as well. Next time I would try the gnocchi which looked perfectly pillowy on another diners plate
A very different dining experience today to when I first came to Mozza during the opening week and had a free pizza as part of that promotion. Today we came in as a group of 10 to celebrate a birthday. The three kids were excited by the concept behind the Americana pizza which had frankfurter sausage and fries on top... they devoured two whole pizzas between the three of them. Us adults had a selection of pizzas and my favourite was the done right classic Napoletana with cherry tomatoes, olives, anchovy and plenty of mozzarella. Other toppings I rated highly were the sausage and potato topped Salsicciotta pizza. The dough was exceptionally spongy around the crust and although some of the flavour combinations left the middle a little damp it all held together nicely. I also tried the napoli potato gnocchi which was carried out very well. Light pillows as they say and a good sauce to go with them.
We finished on a nutella calzone with candles and this did delight.
Overall friendly service and super quick pizza making. Only complaint would be that our seating was very cramped. 10 people sitting around 3 joined together tables was not a comfortable experience. Taking up one extra table would have made a difference.

I was coincidentally doing cardio at the gym at Doncaster Shoppingtown when a mate mentioned a free pizza promotion at Mozzarella Bar (now known at Mozza Pizzeria Napoletana). Finishing at the gym just before 11:30am I made my way across to find only a small queue had formed and I was inside in under 5 minutes.
True to their word they offered a free pizza as part of their rename launch period (3 days) and you could choose from all but two of the entire range.
I went for the Selerno pizza which combined hot salami with goats cheese, pesto, olives and tomatoes. The pizza didn’t take long at all to arrive and I was well and truly satisfied with the flavour.
That creamy goats cheese is always a winner. Talking crust this was a well prepped pizza and the dough was still soft and with a nice spongy bite to it, along with some good char. Thin underneath to let the toppings shine.
Certainly a great pizza and that base was as good as some of the big boys of Brunswick and the city.
The atmosphere to start was simply wonderful as we had the function room upstairs which was both perfect for a large family gathering and the staff were immediately attentive to our needs and our guests. The food was just amazing with a range of traditional Italian dishes that were prepared with the care and attention only a nonna or exceptional Italian chef would achieve. The antipasto and entre platters were divine, from cured meats, meat balls, mozzarela sticks, arancini, calamari, breads and wines...it was exceptional. The mains were equally impressive with the most delicious pasta combinations of paste marinara with beautifully fresh seafood to traditional penne with ragu and gnochi that were as soft and light as marshmellows. The staff were a delight to deal with as they were attentive to a mix of young, elderly and vegetarian needs...thank you to Anthony and his staff, Rocco and Jessica. Your team made a 60th birthday celebration one to remember for over 40 fussy guests who are all raving ...simply brilliant. thank you....and finally...the deserts...Canoli a ricotta and the nutella donuts were sensational. Great value, people and location.
