Went with old work friends for a long overdue catchup. We had drinks and a meal. The food was superb but the service was somewhat slow, which seemed strange as it wasn't particularly busy the evening we went. Good job we weren't time constrained, in fact we spent almost 4 hours there! Its a nice old charm pub/hotel on the end of the market place. Overall we had a good time in good atmosphere.

Great place for a bit of hearty pub food friendly staff dogs always welcome they even get a bowl of water big car park behind they cater for many events rooms are nice hood location in the centre of Dereham

I can only comment on the food and bar area as we visited for dinner. The bar area is lovely - cosy, traditional bar with very friendly and attentive staff. The menu choice is good, we had the steak and kidney suey pudding with creamy, smooth mash and nicely cooked veg (and LOADS of gravy - perfect). The pudding is great and I've had it twice now! My friends had the lasagne which came with a lovely salad and garlic bread and the hunters chicken which also came with delicious sides. Great choice of desserts too - yes you can eat pudding after pudding. So good I booked for Mother's Day there and then. A real crowd pleaser.
