Wow what a lovely place to eat, so my wife Jules rang to book a table and explain that our daughter who had had covid didn’t eat meat at the moment so did they have any other choices and they couldn’t have been more helpful.
Great attitude but did recommend if we wanted one of the roasts we should pre book to avoid disappointment.
They even said if there is nothing on the menu our daughter doesn’t like the chef will do his best to create something.
We did book a couple of beef and a Turkey (that was the days choices) and was welcomed with a great smile and lovely ale (otter was lovely)
The food was great but the beef does come rare so if that’s too pink for you simply ask when you order and the will ensure it’s how you like it.
The food was lovely with veg al dente the roasts crunchie and meat lovely.
When it comes to desert they have daily specials and we have the bisoff cheese cake with ice cream but was again lovely.
This is overall a lovely pub and was very pleased with the service and quality of food and drink.
Very happy to recommend
We went here for a meal it and it was very tasty and satisfying. The burgers were prepared with passion and tastes great. The portion size is more than what I excepted to be honest. The pub is very clean and staff is friendly. I recommend Red Lion if you are around that are hunting for a meal. Thanks 👍
Been here a few times now, Ed, Deb's and Julie always give a warm welcome. There's a good selection of real ales and beers here(the Drop Bar is tasty and refreshing) with 2 bar seating areas, with a restaurant part as well. It has a lovely garden area with parking
The Special and Take Away menu are more expensive to eat in but are available, whilst the restaurant menu changes according to seasons, availability, produce available etc.
Well worth visiting.
