Kaspa's is another tasty desert café in Croydon, located opposite Maplin next to West Croydon train station. The building is quite dark inside with black and pink decor. The music, on my visit, was turned up quite loud which made conversation harder. The costs of some of the deserts here are more expensive than the very similar Gelato's in the nearby Centrale shopping centre. Having said that, the deserts here do come as advertised (hooray!) and are very tasty.
Kaspa's certainly comes across as a nicer, more extravagant desert café; but, for the price and location I personally prefer Gelato's, however I would still recommended Kaspa's as an excellent treat when you fancy a moment to indulge. I give it 4/5, 0.5 better than Gelato's.
I love stopping by Kaspa’s to indulge myself in their delicious waffles and milkshakes. Nothing says well done for spending hours in the gym like like a big waffle topped with banana's and strawberries (tick that off your 5 a day list), drowned in white chocolate sauce, with a glass of strawberry milkshake to wash the warm, velvety deliciousness down.
As you've guessed I definitely recommend trying the ‘White choc indulgence waffle ’ and their ‘Strawberry indulgence waffle’ comes a close-second in my books. I liked their 60’s inspired diner decor and the chilled atmosphere inside.
The service leaves much to be desired, but the desserts more than make up for it.
This place is super cute and reminds me of dark and twisted soda bars from American comics. There is a lot of choice on the menu and I've only tried about 10% of the menu (mostly the chocolaty items). I liked the chocoholics sundae and I do have a weakness for chocolate. Somebody should think about using this space as a movie set!
