Dinner with the family and kids. Mike and his staff were fantastic in looking after us as soon as we were seated. Patient and attentive to our requests even with kids being kids. Service was quick, efficient, accommodating with a good attitude. Food very good. There's a large terraced area at the rear and a decent sized adventure park for kids all the way down the back. Definitely worth a visit.
Very good dining. Cod a bit overpriced and overcook for what you get.
Apart from that it was good dining experience.
Attention to detail on the pub classics. There was perfectly seasoned fries, a nicely cut little gem lettuce leaf in the burger with a large tomato slice, fresh brioche, a homemade style relish along with hand pressed burger patty’s with a plant based alternative on offer.
The service was wonderful and ambient, not to pushy or theatrical - it all made way for a lovely evening.
For the more finer style dish - the food was presented nicely, and fresh and all cooked. (We had the Salmon) Flavour profiles were a little too British for us (being just cooked as it is, celebrating the ingredient but very much the dish having no additional flavouring) with maybe a garlic and a butter sauce being a nice addition to compliment and make the seafood capture more flavour.
Wonderful location with free parking and a good selection of wine, ports, spirits and gins.
