It’s a pub right up my alley. No pretence. It is what it is. Great beer and cider. Lagers, wine, and fizz for those inclined. Good selection of spirits. Not the usuals by the way e.g Gordon’s/Beefeater. The food is fabulous too. It isn’t haute cuisine but if you go to a pub what are you expecting? Great grub and great portion sizes at a very reasonable price point. Throw in live sports, a jukebox connected to the Internet, an outside area with darts, a family-welcome approach, you’ve got it all. Jason has done a great job. This is simply a great boozer. If you want more frills then walk up the hill. But you don’t really need to.
Great pub, good beer, friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. Good choice of food on the menu and the food is delicious and generous portions. The Sunday roast is fantastic!
Thank you so so much everybody at the Goat and Boot, not just the staff but their patrons too. We took our ten year old twins to your pub to watch the England v Croatia game. I was really nervous to take them out and messaged the pub, they quickly messaged me back and put my mind at ease. We didn't make a bad decision bringing them, they loved it! We had a nice meal and the atmosphere when the football was on was perfect My boys were seated very close to a group of mainly men who chatted with them and asked them for score predictions and such like, they didn't have to but it was so lovely that they did The moment some guys saw my boys and moderated their referee is a chant to the referee is 'naughty' I knew we would be visiting again over the coming months. A very family friendly pub even with an England game on. Thank you very very much
