I went to "The Cafe" to meet a friend and do a small portion of shopping afterwards. The convenience was integral to my plan.
I went to the counter after looking at the menu. I was saddened that they serve lunch items from 11:30 and after, as they serve breakfasts all day.
I ordered a breakfast and asked about cold drinks. Their 330ml cans of Coke zero were £2.25. Most certainly not worth the money.
The meals were decently priced, but they charged £1.25 per extra items, extra items were things such as a slice of black pudding.
The food was cooked properly, but the toast was burnt. However, I did ask for it to be swapped and they did so without any hesitation and brought me a beautifully toasted piece of bread.
Overall I found the meal to be fulfilling but overly priced and not entirely convenient for a convenience cafe.
We are regular visitors to this cafe and the staff are superb. Friendly and helpful even when faced with a long line of customers. The food is good value and waiting times usually short. Well done all
Friendly, efficient staff. Spotlessly clean. Good food at a reasonable price. Recommended.
