We had a lovely meal for four at Greensward Cafe in Clacton-on-Sea. We ordered fish and chips and jacket potato and beans (with an extra sausage on the side). There was plenty of available seating, and it had a lovely friendly seaside vibe. The staff were courteous, and our food came out quite quickly.
The portion sizes were perfect for us. They cooked the chips just right, and the fish had a nice crispy batter, which wasn’t greasy.

Clean, friendly, easily accessible with the motorbike and the food was just right. No rush (and it was lovely to see it open off-season), but the food was served quickly and with a smile. Lots of options on the menu and even on a cold, grey day you can sit in the warm and see the sea.
A great place for families that are enjoying Clacton Beach. It reminded me of the classic American diners but with British dishes and amazing coffee!
