A venue is of course brick and mortar … but what Stacey and Anthony bring to the experience really makes it something special.
Lovely manicured gardens, well thought out decor and food that will have you wishing you were blessed with more stomachs.
Highly recommend, special occasions, thank yous, or just some quality time with someone - it’s worth the visit.
We visited The Boxing Hare recently for my husband's birthday. A relatively large party of nine on a Saturday night.
It was a great experience from start to finish.
Antony was very accommodating in arranging the booking for me and put our table into a dog-friendly area of the pub so we could bring our greyhound.
On the night the food, atmosphere, and service were all fantastic. Everyone had a lovely time and I'm very grateful to all at The Boxing Hare who made the evening so enjoyable! Thank you.
A beautiful culinary gem in cotswold! Perfect restaurant for dinner with the family, dinner after a long day out or dinner date. It's just lovely! All the food we ordered were superb. The ladies serving were nice and courteous too. We really enjoyed ourselves.
The sunset view from the car park is beautiful!
Landed at boxing hare a bit earlier than our reservation.
Wasn’t a problem and was given a table immediately.
We orders the mussels to start and shared.
The bavette steak felt like it was missing some flavour
The lamb rump with a crispy outside was excellent.
Overall good food and picturesque and interesting interior.

Excellent lunch. Had the bavette steak fries, was excellent -- great cook on the steak, and very good fries. The red wine jus was great on the side. Chocolate fondant dessert was good also. Good service too
Friendly and helpful staff and good service.
The menu has a good selection of different dishes, couple of pub favourites in there. Food was very nice, the cheese soufflé was superb, and I had a very well cooked duck leg etc after.
I wasn't drinking alcohol so 2 courses and a soft drink was about £40 for me.
I would say it's worth treating yourself here at least once.
PS the pub dog is friendly and appears to need stroking a lot.
Gorgeous restaurant, lovely interior, amazing staff and a FANTASTIC Sunday roast!! Couldn’t have asked for more
Excellent excellent, excellent.
Really lovely pub, the food was some of the nicest food I've had in England having been here 1 year. The steak and burgers were top notch. Also had the sticky ribs to start, I was too full for a dessert but no doubt would have been blown away by that too. Thanks!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Boxing Hare, and I wanted to take a moment to share my fantastic experience. The food was truly exceptional, with each dish beautifully presented and full of flavor. I was particularly impressed by the level of care and attention to detail that was put into every aspect of our dining experience.
Additionally, the service was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a truly unforgettable dining experience.
I would highly recommend The Boxing Hare to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and I can't wait to dine there again in the future.
Thank you, The Boxing Hare, for such a fantastic evening!
Went for Sunday lunch (our first time) and loved it! All four of us really enjoyed each and every dish. And the roasts were excellent I had the trio (beef, lamb & pork) and every element was cooked to perfection. The service was really friendly too and Emily made us feel very welcome. Definitely somewhere to return to despite being 45 mins away!
