Word's been getting around about how good this place is, so for my mum's birthday on the 1st of October we finally decided to go for Sunday lunch at Chew Kitchen. When we arrived the place was heaving and had a really nice atmosphere. We were mainly served by Alice who was very welcoming and attentive. We had some starters which were delicious and then we moved onto mains. We pretty much all went for the roasts and damn, they were good. I went for the beef and pork. Both were cooked really well, with the beef nice and rare. Really nice veg and a good portion size too. Sunday roast shouldn't really be difficult, but a really good roast seems to be harder and harder to find. Great place with a great vibe and wicked food. What more do you need?
We've been here a few times for lunch, and had dinner for the first time tonight. My partner and I are both vegans and the chef was very accommodating. He came up with a couple of starters and mains for us to choose from, and they were all yummy!
The space was buzzing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend and come back again. It's so lovely to have this at our doorstep!
We have been meaning to visit here for some time & we weren’t disappointed. We were greated by smiling, friendly staff. We had lovely starters, which we asked for some added extras, this was no problem. We ordered our Sunday Lunch, which we moved a few bits around. I preferred one different meat that was on the menu but not with the duo of meat, so they happily changed it for us. Had to take a doggy bag away with us. No starters next time. Overall a lovely lunch, served by friendly, young staff with excellent manners. Hopefully we will be able to get in this Sunday, but will be trying for lunch in the week. A great little find.
