Been here a few times now and always had a good experience. The platters are great if you like a good mix, but beware that the portions are pretty sizeable. Good selection too at the bar.
Be sure to book in advance unless you want to sit outside.

Hickory' Smokehouse is authentic American BBQ restaurant by the river in the historic city of Chester. Staff is helpfull and friendly. Sitting outside with a river view is amazing. They serve unlimited popcorn with the meals. Both the Swiss sausages and shrimps are delish.😋🍴💯 #sausages #schrimps #scampi #chips #hickorysmokehouse #chester #UK

Awesome. We went to Hickory’s on the 1st of March 2013 as my boyfriend had been once before and I have to say I absolutely loved it. We had Burnt Bits and Hot Links to start (shared) and had the platter between us to share for a main. We also ordered copious amounts of cocktails, all freshly made. We were bought water and popcorn as we sat down, this was a lovely touch. We had a private booth type table out of the way which I think made it as there were many tables in that night. I will definitely be going again and would highly recommend the food, drink and service.
