Excellent food and what a great venue
we ate here last night, they take no reservations walk ins only, but thankfully we were seated right away and we chose to enjoy the glorious sunshine and sit outside in the courtyard area. our waitress told us about the specials and brought us some refreshing water while we decided. the pork paella on the menu caught our eye, so we ordered it along with a few tapas to have as starters as there’s a 30 min wait for the paella (and worth every one!)
we ordered the bread & olive oil and the tomato salad.
the bread proved that simple food can be done well and taste amazing! bread, salt, oil… perfection! wonderful texture, lovely amount of oil and salt to finish. delicious!
the tomato salad was so much more than just a salad, it had onions and capers and cheese that was simply amazing. we could have happily eaten a huge plate of just this!
the main event, the paella, was out of this world. the meat was lovely and tender and fell off the bone. the flavour was full bodied and rich and full of garlic, mushrooms and saffron. it’s a very big portion but we were hungry and happily full when we had finished. we even saved some of the bread to mop up all the lovely juices.
Perfect as always, a brilliant and consistently place to go. Fab selection of dishes with the specials keeping a lil treat surprise dishes (I always go for them!). Food is flavourful and fresh, not had a bad dish yet.
Staff are knowledgeable, with a perfect levels of customer rapor.
