First time we visited in years and we were pleasantly surprised. The interior is good and there is a large beer garden to the back. Choice of drinks was good and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.
Donna and Martin have brought the proper Black horse back to Chester-le-Street. The most friendly publicans keeping it real, beer is spot on, had a couple of friends down from Newcastle who commented that the Guiness is the best they've had for years!
Can't say a bad thing about the pub, the atmosphere, the punters! and an amazing beer garden that reflects how great the place is going , oh and free Pool table on a Tuesday!!
