Visited last week as wanted to try out the kids play area I had heard about. The concept is great as my 1 year old doesn’t sit still so having an area to explore was very unique and made the experience relaxing for me. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and even carried my pram up the steps at the front for me.
I haven’t given 5 stars as I ordered the child’s lunchbox for £5, I knew my daughter wouldn’t eat it all so I would share it with her, the ham sandwich didn’t taste fresh and appeared it had been squished down. The apple (fresh fruit) provided also wasn’t very fresh/crunchy and quite tasteless (maybe old? Or maybe we were unlucky) and a juice and a frube-style yoghurt was provided in a box - did seem expensive for the poor quality. I had a carrot caked slice which was a large slice could have been shared between 2 it was very sweet tasting. I also tried their homemade lemonades this was actually very yummy. We had the upstairs to ourselves as it was a quiet afternoon mid-week.
I would return again, as it is unique to have the Play Area upstairs and the staff were very welcoming. I would perhaps not personally order the kids lunch again and try a different cake next time.
I’ve both eaten here and ordered birthday cakes several times from this amazing bakery.
Delicious coffee, amazing breakfast, crêpe, and the classy and well equipped children’s play area gives parent's a chance to rest and chat! In the summer, they have some great frozen coffee and lemonade options too. The only problem is choosing which incredible cake to try.
Kleopatra is very helpful with cake orders, if you know roughly what you want, she will get back to you with ideas and has an incredible choice of flavours of sponges and butter cream fillings. Clear communication regarding pick up and beautifully presented in a cake box. The birthday cakes are impressive every time and delight the children.
Amazing place with lovely staff and cakes! First class service, way more than you might expect for a cake shop. The cakes were fantastic too, be prepared to leave feeling really full 😅🙈
