Best chips i’ve had in a long time!!!! Such a good hearty pub meal, we had the pie and pork belly. Service was fantastic, we didn’t even need to ask for a high chair they brought it over to the table straight away. Very family friendly as well with colouring in for the kids.
A gem. Staff were wonderful. Happy and friendly. Food was delicious. Poached pear, blue cheese and candied walnuts to start, hubby had breaded prawns with a chilli dip. I went for roast pork, hubby had the beef. Roast potatoes were excellent, crisp on the outside, fluffy in the middle. Beautifully cooked veg, lashings of gravy. Big fluffy Yorkshire puddings, and I had a lovely chunk of salty crunchy crackling. I'm not sure if the horseradish sauce was homemade, but it packed a punch! We ended the meal with fab desserts. Ruby and white chocolate mousse for me, and strawberry and vanilla cheesecake for him. Also, must mention, hubby wasn't sure which beer to choose, so the lovely guy serving us let him try a couple of different ones. Such a shame that the current landlords are only there until the end of this month. We really enjoyed our visit.
A sudden expected stop on a whim that turned into a very lovely few hours enjoying the view the food and hospitality at the Kilkenny Inn. The lovely lady behind the bar said new owner only been there 3 weeks so I can't comment on before but wow what they've achieved in 3 weeks is admirable. She was very knowledgeable on the menus, there's 3 of them and the drink choices and was so helpful and friendly. I could have stayed all afternoon but I needed to continue onto London. I couldn't finish my meal and was given a gorgeous little takeaway box to go. 🥹😍 Great place to stop if you're exploring the gorgeous Cotswolds.
