Preto Chelmsford

Today I visited Preto for the third time. Every visit has always been pleasurable. The staff are polite and attentive. I love the concept of the restaurant and having the cards. It means we didn't get disturbed when we did not require more food. The food itself was well cooked and offered variety. When I first visited before corona they had food set out on the middle cart which offered variety and the ability to get food as and when I wanted. I am curious as to whether this will come back?

We came for lunch which was really good value. You get to choose from a variety of sides (mostly and sufficient that are included in the price) and then a selection of meats get brought round to you. All the meat was obviously freshly done as you can see where it is being cooked behind the metal. We had a selection of chorizo, 3 types of steak and two different chickens. The garlic steak was really good. The drinks are fairly priced too and the staff were friendly.

We went there on a Saturday evening at around 9pm. Not many people around but i guess because of the time. The menu shows plenty of choices. We went for all-you-can-eat meat option (this is not exactly how they call it at Preto but at the moment I dont remember the right name on top of my head) which comprises all the sides you like and ordered as many times you want. Quality of food was awesome. People running the restaurant were very friendly and the service was pretty quick too. Price acceptable as well.

Lots of fun, with plenty to try and enjoy. Post COVID, Preto has removed their great salad bar and moved it to a menu. You can enjoy as much as you like, ordering small plates as you go. There's a wide range of interesting dishes. But then on to the meats which are the star attraction of which there are lots and all delicious. The restaurant is large and spacious, but can get warm. The sangria is recommended to cool you off! It's £25 for the standard experience, but discounts are available for students, cinema goers and people watching football. Come hungry as there is a lot of food!

Great place for some Brazilian food! You definitely get your monies worth. The meat was cooked and seasoned lovely as well as the fantastic range of sides that you get with your meal. The service was fantastic and the servers had a good sense of humour too. Will definitely be coming back and recommending this restaurant.
