Just had plaice,proper chips and mushy peas. Really good quality and nice,friendly staff. The added bonus was we weren't charged extra to eat in.
Flew in from Rarotonga in the South Seas to Stockport last month and spotted this little gem on the way from Poynton to Glossop (the scenic route). Those chips and mushy peas with dandelion and burdock were a real blast from the past.... so good in fact that I had to come back for another round a week later before flying out. In Las Vegas for a few days later, I had the chance to compare yours with Gordon Ramsay's offerings on the Strip, just across from Caesar's Palace...... not bad, Gordon, but you could learn a thing or two from the experts in Chapel en le Frith! Right now it's back to Raro's own Palace Takeaways..... chips the NZ way...not a mushy pea in sight.. see you next time I am on your side of the World!
