What do I recommend? Everything - but the choice of coffee is limited to the usual espresso-based range, there's only one blend, and the cups are smaller than I'd like.
If you like tea, you're in for a treat - but do bring your deciding heads because there are something like 50 different types.
The cakes are to kill for and the savouries are very acceptable.
Service is human and very friendly. Sometimes it's a little slower but I've been coming here since it opened and not yet had a bad experience - not during the pre-Christmas rush nor the New Year slump.
We came here before Christmas with friends who had their young baby in tow. We were given the use of a downstairs space where we could all fit around one table, there was space for the buggy, and it was close to the loos/baby-changing facilities. Nothing was any trouble and our friends had a very positive experience.
There is no accessible loo due to the age and layout of the building, but there are shops and other buildings nearby which do have accessible facilities.
Please do support them: even if they didn't make a point of employing people with disabilities they'd be worth five stars; since they do, they've definitely earned what I almost never give: a five-star rating
I love this tea shop! So friendly and welcoming and the sandwiches, toasties, soup and cakes are all great. Can't recommend highly enough.
Travelled from Swansea for a day out looking around Carmarthen, and stopped off at this absolutely amazing little tea shop. All the staff were wonderful, and looked after us well. Thank you - We’ll definitely be back!
