Had a great lunch at the George today. Don’t know why we don’t visit more often, we’re only 15 mins away. Good quality Sandwiches, a Huge Menu to choose from including desserts. Decent Coffee, Great choice of Non-Alcoholic Beers. Great Garden. The only downside was the Service…Lottie needs to work on her Banter! Haha, only Joking, both girls were brilliant, but Big Shout out to Lottie for the Fun (and constant) Banter and Smiles. It’s what you want from a great Village Pub. Made to feel very welcome from minute one. Well Played 👏👏
If there were more stars for experience I would give them to this fine establishment. Farmers and friends from many lands should visit. Only one word describes the splendour of the Babraham surroundings; transformative. I first visited Babraham on the 10th of August 2023 and yearned to return, which I then did a few hours later. If you have a travel guide at home throw it out; it's worthless. Travel guides will have to be rewritten to simply read 'Babraham'. Everything else will be a footnote. I hope to return to Babraham on an emotional, spiritual, social, political, cultural journey to once again pay respect to Babraham and the groundbreaking research happening, as well as the Jonas Webb statue erected by farmers and friends from many lands. 7 stars out of a maximum of 5.
Loved this place, we were stopping in Barlow for a week for a holiday and came across this fantastic place. The owners were fantastic and could not do enough for us and was spotless and food was mouthwatering and homemade. Definitely will be back!
